FIELD NOTES · ACCEPTANCE EXERCISES

Record which market catalogue owns the displayed price

A country selector can change the displayed number without proving which catalogue supplied it or which checkout can accept it. For a bilingual retailer, language and market are separate dimensions. Commission a market-to-price evidence map rather than a second decorative currency switcher.

Source-bound fact

The current Markets catalogue rules prioritise more-specific applicable prices; a manual product price overrides an overall adjustment. Official reference · Checked 17 October 2026.

Supplier acceptance procedure

  1. Record market, assigned catalogues, product ID, currency, price provenance and actual catalogue feature availability.
  2. Compare product page, basket and checkout using the same market and quantity, while changing language as a separate control.
  3. Capture a conflicting-price example and require the supplier to explain precedence; verify gateway capability separately.

Interpret the output

The local85 and manual82 are two separate configurations, not a promise of an exchange rate. If an old store uses a different international-pricing architecture, pause and map that architecture before applying these current catalogue rules.

Explicit limits

No real FX rates, duties, tax, gateway coverage, plan entitlement or cross-currency refund calculation. Examples assume the stated applicable catalogue in one currency.

Replay the finite teaching model
